More Session Information
Headshots New York provides both indoor and outdoor photography sessions in Manhattan.
Discounted group rates are available for sessions at business locations. Please call 347.843.1684 or email to schedule an appointment.
Studio Based Sessions
Pricing for individual studio sessions start at $225 for a half hour session - avg 150 images. The studio has both natural light from large double paned windows, is fully equipped for flash photography and has a 20' cyclorama. There's also a private makeup room with two makeup stations and a private bathroom.
Outdoor Locations
We offer a special for individual outdoor sessions in the East Village starts at $150 for a half hour session - avg 150 images.
Outdoor sessions are available elsewhere throughout the metro area however pricing for other locations will vary based on duration, distance and travel.
Hours of Operation
We schedule 24 hours 7 days a week but by appointment only. Short notice, after hours and weekend sessions are all possible upon request depending on availability.
Makeup Services
Upon request, we're happy to provide a current list of freelance makeup artists (MUAs). Please note these artists are independent contractors; you'll need to secure and pay them directly. On average, their session prices range from $150 to $175.
Keep in mind that some MUAs include light hair styling, while others offer more extensive hair services for an additional fee. We recommend discussing these specifics directly with the MUA you're considering.
Alternately, you're welcome to arrive prepared with your makeup done or arrange for your own makeup artist. For acting headshots, natural-looking makeup and hair worn down typically yield the best results.
Wardrobe
For optimal results, we generally recommend darker, solid-colored attire, especially for outdoor sessions. When shooting outdoors, it's often best to avoid white clothing if possible. We suggest preparing at least three distinct wardrobe variations to provide ample options. Should you desire professional assistance, a wardrobe specialist referral is available upon request.
Unless alternative arrangements have been made, clients are responsible for their wardrobe selection and the time dedicated to preparing for their session. You're welcome to have unlimited wardrobe changes during your session to capture a variety of looks.
Please note that any in-studio preparation time, including wardrobe adjustments and makeup application, is at your discretion and will be billed as part of your overall session time.
